Telling Tales

One more day 'til the start of dedicated writing in the month of November. This is good--I need the discipline. Oh, don't get me wrong, I write everyday--I keep a work journal. However, I don't write stories everyday. That's where I need the discipline. Afterall, life is one big continuous story. Why not write about it?

Okay, enough about me. Jeanette Winterson is a writer who always has interesting tales to tell.

Story one: Tanglewreck

A little way in the future, time is distorting. Time Tornadoes are causing havoc. People are whirled out of their own time, never to return, and a Woolly Mammoth has been seen on the banks of the River Thames.

But time is big business, and whoever gets control of time controls life as we know it!

Read the first two chapters Jeanette Winterson's new book for children.

Read The Times profile.
